Most of us who manage our own social media accounts don’t have the time to go to graphic design school. Introducing PicMonkey!
As a subscriber for quite some time – since 2017 – it has been a tool in my photo editing and design software toolbox for quite some time. Although I have had it in my toolkit for a while, it hadn’t always been my go-to software for creating content quickly.
As a software junkie who frequently signs up for multiple platforms, I often have to trim the fat from my budget. Despite how infrequently I use the software, PicMonkey’s pricing has always allowed it to survive the cuts.
I decided to revisit the software around cutting season to see if their design tool had become more powerful than my other choices (Canva, BeFunky). I was surprised to discover that it had AND may have edged into first place, and here’s why:…
Pros
- Intuitive and easy to use interface
- Variety of fonts to choose from
- Great selection of templates for all social media platforms
- Phone app (App Store and Google Play)
- Photo editor with layers, effects, masks, oh my!
- Auto Save!
- Drop Shadow (I love a drop shadow)
Cons
- Honestly, can't think of any!
- Feels empty, maybe I'll update later...
- but I doubt it!
